SysOpen Digia to release Corporate Phonebook Print E-mail
Written by SysOpen Digia
Tuesday, 20 February 2007
SysOpen Digia announced recently the availability of Corporate Phonebook, an enterprise mobility tool designed for enterprises and operators, that stores detailed information of business contacts on a user’s phone - can be used in all smartphones, including the latest Nokia E90 Communicator

Corporate Phonebook by SysOpen Digia is compatible with the whole range of Symbian devices and can be used in all smartphones, including the latest Nokia E90 Communicator announced this week at 3GSM World Congress.

Whenever the user receives a call, the detailed information of the caller (title, company, unit, location etc) is immediately displayed on the phone. The user can also look up contacts on his phone. The contact information on the smartphone is retrieved from existing back-end systems like Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) or a customer relationship management system. Since the information is managed centrally, the data is easily synchronized and stored in the user’s phone.

Kai Tulonen, Chief Technology Officer, SysOpen Digia says: “We have been using Corporate Phonebook inside SysOpen Digia extensively since last fall, and we have been very satisfied with the results. Calls to the switchboard and directory services have decreased significantly since our employees now have up-to-date contact information from all their colleagues and customers on their phone and can place the call directly. Employees are also better prepared to answer calls, since they already have detailed information about the caller before they answer the phone.”

Corporate Phonebook, which is based on patent pending technology, is part of the Mobility Business Suite by SysOpen Digia. Demonstrations of the broad capabilities of the Mobility Business Suite are currently being organized at the 3GSM World Congress, in the S60/Forum Nokia VIP Lounge, located in Hall 8 just beside the Nokia Lounge. For more detailed information regarding those demonstrations, please contact Fabien Cadaut, Marketing Manager (+358 40 756 5959 or fabien.cadaut (at) sysopendigia.com)
