Company Adds Former PalmSource Executive to Board of Directors - smartphone software leader continues expansion, garners additional funding and fortifies its advisory group with experienced leadership.

Dallas, Texas - February 5, 2007 - Quickoffice, the world leader in providing office document software for mobile devices, today announced it has secured seven million dollars in private equity financing led by Silicon Valley venture firm Mayfield Fund(r), with participation from Access Industries, Advantage Capital Partners, Shepherd Ventures and Shea Ventures. In addition, the company has named Patrick McVeigh, former CEO of PalmSource, Inc. (NASDAQ: PSRC), to its board of directors.

"Quickoffice is experiencing rapid growth and is now shipping on tens of millions of smartphones worldwide," said Patrick McVeigh. "Its seasoned management team has secured strong commercial and strategic relationships with some of the world's largest brands, including Nokia and Sony Ericsson. As a 20-year veteran of the mobile consumer electronics industry, I intend to use my experience to further Quickoffice's global leadership."

This latest funding brings the company's total capital raised to $26 million Quickoffice will use the latest financing to further its core product line and to increase distribution with the world's leading handset manufacturers Quickoffice also announced that in the second half of 2006, the company's software was included on the following new handset models: Nokia's N75, N76, N93i, N95, 6290 and Sony Ericsson's P990i and W958c. In addition, Nokia has licensed Quickoffice software and is now shipping its Quickoffice 3.0 Premier product on all existing E-Series phones, including the E60, E61, E62 and E70.

"This latest round of funding is a testament to our market success and will benefit us greatly as we continue our expansion," said Barry Cottle, CEO. "We're happy to have Patrick's leadership and experience as we continue to lead the market as the preferred provider of mobile office document software."

While with PalmSource, McVeigh led the company through a competitive bidding process, which resulted in the company's acquisition by ACCESS Company Ltd. He also served as CEO of Aliph Corporation, a developer of audio and speech technologies for mobile communications devices.

McVeigh also founded the Omnisky Corporation, provider of wireless data services to carriers such as AT&T Wireless and Verizon. As chairman and CEO, he led the development and execution of service launch within one year of founding the business. McVeigh raised over $250 million in funding through private and public offerings, grew revenues from $0 to $43 million, and eventually sold the business to Earthlink. Prior to that, he served in various executive sales and marketing roles for both Palm and Apple.

Quickoffice software provides smartphone users with mobile access to Microsoft Office documents, allowing them to open, edit and save files in their native format. The latest release, Quickoffice Premier v4, offers unique and powerful features for mobile phones, greatly enhancing both user experience and productivity.

This release was named Best Enterprise Application in the Forum Nokia S60 3rd Edition Challenge in October 2006, and builds on highly successful previous releases. Quickoffice was chosen by Nokia as the exclusive mobile office suite deployed on S60 3rd Edition phones.
