Company Adds Former PalmSource Executive to Board of Directors - smartphone software
leader continues expansion, garners additional funding and fortifies its advisory
group with experienced leadership.
Dallas, Texas - February 5, 2007 - Quickoffice, the world leader in providing
office document software for mobile devices, today announced it has secured seven
million dollars in private equity financing led by Silicon Valley venture firm
Mayfield Fund(r), with participation from Access Industries, Advantage Capital
Partners, Shepherd Ventures and Shea Ventures. In addition, the company has named
Patrick McVeigh, former CEO of PalmSource, Inc. (NASDAQ: PSRC), to its board of
directors.
"Quickoffice is experiencing rapid growth and is now shipping on tens of millions
of smartphones worldwide," said Patrick McVeigh. "Its seasoned management team
has secured strong commercial and strategic relationships with some of the world's
largest brands, including Nokia and Sony Ericsson. As a 20-year veteran of the
mobile consumer electronics industry, I intend to use my experience to further
Quickoffice's global leadership."
This latest funding brings the company's total capital raised to $26 million
Quickoffice will use the latest financing to further its core product line and
to increase distribution with the world's leading handset manufacturers Quickoffice
also announced that in the second half of 2006, the company's software was included
on the following new handset models: Nokia's N75, N76, N93i, N95, 6290 and Sony
Ericsson's P990i and W958c. In addition, Nokia has licensed Quickoffice software
and is now shipping its Quickoffice 3.0 Premier product on all existing E-Series
phones, including the E60, E61, E62 and E70.

While with PalmSource, McVeigh led the company through a competitive bidding
process, which resulted in the company's acquisition by ACCESS Company Ltd. He
also served as CEO of Aliph Corporation, a developer of audio and speech technologies
for mobile communications devices.
McVeigh also founded the Omnisky Corporation, provider of wireless data services
to carriers such as AT&T Wireless and Verizon. As chairman and CEO, he led
the development and execution of service launch within one year of founding the
business. McVeigh raised over $250 million in funding through private and public
offerings, grew revenues from $0 to $43 million, and eventually sold the business
to Earthlink. Prior to that, he served in various executive sales and marketing
roles for both Palm and Apple.

The latest release, Quickoffice Premier v4, offers unique and powerful features
