DDH Software Launches its Acclaimed HanDBaseŽ Relational Database for S60 3rd Edition Devices Print E-mail
Written by DDH Software, Inc.
Wednesday, 24 January 2007
DDH Software, Inc. has announced that a new version of its HanDBaseŽ relational database application is now available to owners of S60 3rd Edition devices, including such hot new smartphones as the Nokia E61, Nokia E62, Nokia E70, Nokia N70, Nokia N80, Nokia N93i, and the Samsung SGH-i520.

New HanDBaseŽ users will have immediate access to thousands of free database applications available in DDH Software’s Applet Gallery

S60 3rd Edition on Symbian OS version of HanDBase comes with a desktop version that enables users to create and manage their information before transferring the data to their mobile devices for anytime/anywhere access and data entry.

Since it was first introduced in 1998, HanDBase has enabled owners of Palm OS, Windows Mobile, and Symbian S60 handhelds to take their most vital information with them while on-the-go, earning numerous awards along the way. HanDBase allows mobile device users to store volumes of data that can be easily viewed, edited, filtered, sorted, and searched whenever the data is needed. Now, users of S60 3rd Edition smartphones can create their own custom database programs for both personal and business purposes and never be without access to the information they need.

With the HanDBase Desktop application, users can design their own databases from scratch or start from any of the thousands of free applets available at ddhsoftware.com—-all of which have been created and submitted by HanDBase users. Users can transfer the database to the handset for convenient handheld access and data entry. Beyond its full-featured editing and design capabilities, HanDBase Desktop allows users to export files in Excel, Word, CSV, HTML or XML formats. Additional add-ons support transfer to and from Microsoft Access and other ODBC enabled database applications.

“Our goal is to make HanDBase the premier mobile database program for all popular mobile platforms,” said David Haupert, president of DDH Software. “Whether for business or personal purposes, we want all mobile device users to have access to the best mobile database available. The introduction of HanDBase for S60 3rd Edition is a big step toward making it available to all these smartphone users.”

HanDBase for S60 3rd Edition retails for US$19.99 and is available at the company’s Web site, DDHSoftware.com, or through Handango.com.
