Mobile Commerce, Desktop Search and Mobile Remote Access Converge in New Free EasyReach Service Print E-mail
Written by EasyReach Corporation
Wednesday, 17 January 2007
Available today for the Blackberry, the EasyReach service will support Palm Treo, Windows Mobile, Nokia Series 60 Symbian, J2ME/Java and all other mobile phones and Wireless PDAs in the coming months.

Users Can Now Simplify Life and Get Things Done With Their Cell Phones, Smartphones and Wireless Handheld PDAs

CAMPBELL, Calif., Jan. 16 -- A new, free service from EasyReach Corporation provides a first-of-its-kind combination of mobile commerce, mobile desktop search and mobile remote access that allows users to instantly accomplish everyday tasks with their cell phones, smartphones and wireless handheld PDAs. Common tasks such as buying gifts, adding a movie to your Netflix list or accessing files on remote desktop PCs can be completed in seconds using only a mobile phone. Available today for BlackBerry, the service complements popular applications and services such as Google Desktop Search, eFax, Amazon.com, Netflix, WebEx, GoToMeeting, and others.

"The cell phone is at the center of your life, whether you're a mobile professional or a soccer mom," said John Stossel, EasyReach CEO. "With EasyReach, the mobile device you carry can simplify your life by enabling you to get things done before they hit your to-do list."

Tools for Everyone, On Every Mobile Phone and Wireless PDA

"The mobile smartphone market has been slowed by the inability of potential buyers to see much value beyond simple e-mail," said Rob Enderle, principal analyst for the Enderle Group. "EasyReach may be the missing link to provide that extra value that makes a smartphone broadly useful, turning it into a true assistant. By being able to complete tasks with the phone immediately, rather than waiting to get back to a PC, this clearly expands the utility for the smartphone and should speed its adoption."

Integrated Mobile Commerce

EasyReach Express Shopping gives users the ability to buy and ship items quickly with their mobile phone. To make gift giving easier, Express Shopping is integrated with the mobile device's address book. Users can simply click on a contact record, select a gift and send it without entering any address information. EasyReach comes with a catalog of thousands of popular items including flowers, chocolates, wine, electronic gadgets, books, CDs, DVDs and other popular gift items. EasyReach Concierge enables the mobile purchase and delivery of virtually anything from any vendor.

Quickly Update Your Online Accounts

The EasyReach service also includes convenient mobile access to personal accounts at Netflix, Amazon.com and other online stores. Capabilities include ordering products, renting DVD's and keeping your account information up to date.

Fast Mobile Remote Access and Mobile Desktop Search

EasyReach Find & Deliver offers users simple, fast and secure search of files and e-mails on the users desktop PCs, paired with the ability to quickly send those items to anyone via e-mail or fax. Faster than other mobile remote access solutions, with EasyReach Find & Deliver users can search using a keyword and pull up a list of desktop files in only seconds.

Find & Deliver includes a powerful Windows desktop search application and also provides remote desktop search for users of Google Desktop Search. The company plans to add support for Microsoft Windows Desktop Search in the new Vista OS, Apple's Spotlight for Mac OS X and other popular desktop search applications.

EasyReach Online Storage provides secure online storage for quick access to commonly needed files, for users who do not want to leave their PCs turned on, or install desktop search software.

Availability

Available today for the Blackberry, the EasyReach service will support Palm Treo, Windows Mobile, Nokia Series 60 Symbian, J2ME/Java and all other mobile phones and Wireless PDAs in the coming months.
