AMD, EMC, IBM, Dell, Novell, Google Among the Many Companies On-Board to Sponsor
the Inaugural Event
LinuxWorld OpenSolutions Summit 2007
FRAMINGHAM, Mass.-- IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows,
conferences and events, today announced a strong sponsor lineup for the inaugural
LinuxWorld OpenSolutions Summit, scheduled to take place February 14-15, 2007
in New York City at the Marriott Marquis. Exhibitors and sponsors for the Summit
include more than 30 of the most influential and innovative companies in the Linux
and open source marketplace, including AMD, CentricCRM, EMC, Google, IBM, Novell,
XenSource and many more. The OpenSolutions Summit is scheduled to take place February
14-15, 2007, at the New York Marriott Marquis.
During this one-of-a-kind, intimate and highly focused event, more than 30 in-depth
technical sessions across seven tracks will be presented by IT leaders from some
of the top enterprise companies in the industry including Nationwide, Pfizer,
Solvay, Novell, SourceForge.net, BackCountry.com, and the Department of Defense.
Real-world peer case studies will also be presented, providing attendees with
a unique opportunity to learn what worked, what didn’t, what obstacles were faced
and how they were overcome, directly from those who have already deployed open
source technologies in their IT environments.
“Having a strong presence at LinuxWorld OpenSolutions Summit is particularly
exciting to us because of the smaller and more intimate forum that is being used
for this event,” said Judy Chavis, Director of Business Development & Global
Alliances, Dell. “The Summit provides a great opportunity for IT professionals
interested in deploying Linux in their enterprises, from the desktop to the data
center, to hear from others who are already doing so.”
Sponsors at LinuxWorld OpenSolutions Summit will also participate in the Sponsor
Showcase, featuring premier Linux and open source vendors. Attendees will have
the opportunity to network with speakers, peers, and solution providers during
showcase hours. A complete list of event sponsors and exhibitors participating
