@ROAD ANNOUNCES GENERAL AVAILABILITY OF ITS FLAGSHIP MRM SOLUTION IN THE UK Print E-mail
Written by @ROAD

UK Launch of @Road GeoManager Marks an Important Milestone in @Road’s Efforts to Expand Internationally

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (September 12, 2006) -- @Road, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARDI), a leading provider of next-generation solutions for Mobile Resource Management (MRM), today announced the general availability in the UK of its flagship @Road® GeoManagerSM MRM solution for field force management. @Road made the announcement at the largest wireless data event in the industry, CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2006, being held September 12-14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. @Road is showcasing GeoManager and other innovative MRM solutions during CTIA at booth #818. “This is a proud moment for us,” said Leo Jolicoeur, @Road chief marketing officer. “The launch of GeoManager in the UK ushers in a new era of on-demand location-intelligent functionality for UK businesses wanting to achieve field service delivery excellence, drive-down fuel and other operating costs, and increase productivity. This announcement also marks an extension of our UK presence and crucial milestone in our efforts to expand internationally.”

@Road GeoManager, already a leading on-demand field force management solution in the U.S. and Asia Pacific with more than 150,000 subscribers, is designed to help businesses streamline field service delivery operations while increasing mobile workforce productivity and driving-up customer service. GeoManager provides GPS-based location-relevant visibility into the daily activities of mobile workers and their work - from actual vehicle routes, starts and stops, to customizable maps showing mobile worker location relative to important landmarks like customer locations or work yards. @Road GeoManager also allows businesses to upload customer and/or trip information into a routing engine to generate on-demand, actionable reports such as optimized routes and drive-time, fuel economy, city ordinance compliance and much more.

“With GeoManager, UK businesses can now have access to a MRM solution that can help them address such important issues as employee compliance, high fuel and other operating costs, and the requirements their customers have for improved service delivery,” Jolicoeur said. “And since GeoManager is offered on-demand, UK businesses can deploy the MRM solution on tight deadlines with reduced implementation cost. GeoManager is also designed to be suitable for small- and medium-sized businesses and scalable large enterprises with complex MRM requirements.”

In addition to GeoManager now being offered in the UK, @Road also offers TaskforceTM, a licensed MRM solution for field service management. With a successful track record of helping such leading UK businesses as British Telecom, British Gas, and ntl:Telewest, Taskforce is designed to automate field service delivery processes from appointing, scheduling and dispatching to capacity planning. Taskforce goes beyond human decision-making capabilities, coping with the complexity and changeability of today's field service delivery environment to enable businesses to achieve a more predictable, reliable and repeatable customer experience from commitment to service fulfillment.

The underlying technology in Taskforce makes use of artificial-intelligence algorithms designed to coordinate people, skills, resources and inventory, as it continually seeks to optimize the field service delivery solution at a given time. Because Taskforce is automated and intelligent, it can assist a single operations manager to handle a number of complex service delivery needs and requirements in an unpredictable field service environment.

Rounding out @Road’s family of comprehensive MRM solutions are solutions for field asset management incorporating vehicle diagnostic/prognostic and sensor technologies for driver safety, inventory management and optimized vehicle performance and maintenance.
