TALKING STREET AND AUDISSEY GUIDES PRESENT FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND CELL PHONE WALKING TOURS OF BOSTON, CHICAGO AND SEATTLE - BOSTON: The Boston Audissey: Hidden Sites of Beantown Leads
 Listeners off the Beaten Path

CHICAGO: Take a Walk on Chicago’s Wild Side …One Beat and Rhyme at a Time
Hip-Hop Poet Kevin Coval Leads Travelers on A Chi-Town Journey

SEATTLE: Pioneers, Protestors and Peep Shows…New Cell Phone Audio Tour Takes Travelers on an “Insider Adventure” through Seattle

Boston, MA, August 15, 2006 – Talking Street and Audissey Guides announced today the launch of their new, first-of –its-kind cell phone tours in various cities throughout the country. The tours entitled The Boston Audissey: Hidden Sites of Beantown, The Chicago Audissey: An Insider’s Tour with Kevin Coval and The Seattle Audissey: An Insider’s Tour with DJ Michele invite visitors and residents to experience a totally alternative and user-friendly way to explore their favorite cities…and it’s just a phone call away.  The three tours, produced by Audissey Guides and powered by Talking Street, are available beginning August 15, 2006.

Talking Street, the leading audio tour guide provider and pioneer of the “cell phone walking tour” has teamed up with Audissey Guides to present Audissey Guides’ “Powered By” Talking Street tours, offering existing tours currently available on MP3, on the new cell phone platform. The tours are available in different cities throughout the country including Boston, Chicago, Seattle and with additional tours set to launch in Miami Beach, New Orleans, and Hollywood.

“The cell phone tour is a unique and entertaining way for visitors and residents to explore their favorite destination,” said David Solomont, Chairman & CEO of Candide Media Works, Inc.  “Teaming up with Audissey Guides seemed like the perfect fit for offering visitors and residents a totally different and alternative tour experience, setting us apart from your typical tour guide fare that is offered these days.”

“This is really the democratization of tourism,” said Rob Pyles, 28-year old Founder of Audissey Guides. “Your cell phone lets you become your own tour guide. It’s a cool experience to walk around, dial the phone number, and hear all these locals tell you about their hometown. Plus you don’t have to look like a tourist – you can just blend in.”

THE BOSTON AUDISSEY: HIDDEN SITES OF BEANTOWN
Malcolm X. Ho Chi Minh. The Mafia. This is the Boston they never told you about. Travelers and culture junkies looking for a unique “off the beaten track” experience can now tour Boston’s hidden sites …and all you need is a cell phone. The Boston Audissey: Hidden Sites of Beantown , a 26-stop tour, leads visitors down mysterious alleys and cobblestone streets to reveal hidden treasures, secret stories, and local finds.

A motley crew of Boston natives narrate the tour, from FBI agents to punk rockers, and give you the inside story on their hometown.

Highlights of The Boston Audissey include:

Headquarters of the Boston Mafia – hear FBI Agent Bob Fitzpatrick recount how he personally busted the Mob Boss of Boston;
Caffe Graffiti - Listen to "Big Lou" DeMarco wax philosophical about life in the North End as you stand inside his café;
The Broad Street Riot -- Hear Dicky Barrett, lead singer of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, talk about the long-forgotten racial brawl in Boston’s current Financial District.
Visit the restaurant where Malcolm X bussed tables and Ho Chi Minh worked as a pastry chef.
 THE CHICAGO AUDISSEY: AN INSIDER’S TOUR WITH KEVIN COVAL.
It’s only a phone call away to become a Chi-Town Insider with The Chicago Audissey: an Insider’s Tour with Kevin Coval. The 24-stop tour is narrated by renowned hip-hop poet, poetry slam champion and Chi-town native Kevin Coval. Coval leads visitors and residents on a lyrical journey through the heart of Chicago. The Chicago Audissey also features an original soundtrack, inspired by the city of Chicago.

Tour Highlights include:

The “El” Subway - Take a ride as you listen to Kevin Coval’s poignant ode to the famous train;
The Billy Goat Tavern - Sip a beer and learn about The Chicago Cubs and the “Curse of the Billy Goat”;
Andy’s Jazz Club - Step into the legendary club and hear what makes Chicago jazz special;
Stand in the little-known spot where Al Capone’s henchman was gunned down in cold blood.
THE SEATTLE AUDISSEY: AN INSIDER’S TOUR WITH DJ MICHELE
What do Bill Gates’ stepmom, a peep show dancer and a tribal leader have in common?  All three are guest narrators on The Seattle Audissey: an Insider’s Tour with DJ Michele.  The
21-stop tour offers visitors an insider’s look into the people, places and personality of  “The Jewel of the Northwest”.

The host narrator on the tour is DJ Michele Myers, uber-cool Seattleite and host of the popular radio show “Nite Life”. She gives travelers the inside scoop on her hometown  -- and she’s just a phone call away. The tour also features a colorful cast of local guest narrators.

The tour starts in Pioneer Square, weaving in and out of buildings, bars, and even basements. A ride on the bus is part of the journey, helping the listener to mix with local people, before exploring Post Alley and, finally, Pike Place Market -- one of the coolest places in America.

Tour Highlights include:

The Lusty Lady - Pay a visit to the infamous Seattle strip club owned by women – and hear an exotic dancer welcome you;
The 1999 WTO riots - Listen to Ben “Jammin” Schroeter re-live the chaos of the riot when he was shot by police;
Pike Place Fish - Get salty with Taho Kakutani, a fishmonger in the world-famous seafood market;
Duwamish Nation – Hear a Tribal Council Member of the original inhabitants of Seattle recite a drum-fueled ode to Chief Seattle.
 How It Works
The tour is as simple to use as an audio guide in a museum—except you use your own cell-phone. Each tour has a unique local phone number: 617-424-5255 (Boston); 312-326-6645 (Chicago) ; 206-624-1333 (Seattle). You simply choose a stop and dial the number to listen to an audio segment about the place where you are standing.  You can visit the stops in any order –at any pace. Once purchased, tours can be accessed within a single day, or over the course of a week.  The price of each tour is $5.95. You can also purchase passes at www.talkingstreet.com, or get more information, and download a map or iPod/MP3 version of the tour at www.talkingstreet.com and www.AudisseyGuides.com.
