Epocware is honored to be recognized as a top level developer for Symbian OS
being awarded a certificate that recognized Handy Weather for S60 utility as the
first Symbian Signed application for Symbian OS v9.
Bruce Carney, Head of Developer Marketing, Symbian, presented Epocware with this
certificate at the first S60 Summit that took place in Nice, France, May 23-24,
2006. S60 Summit is an annual event aimed to bring together S60 licensees; S60

intensity level), pressure, visibility, etc. It provides true automatic data updates,

This Symbian certificate is a direct result of the long-term and close collaboration
between Epocware and such global technology companies as Symbian and Nokia.
“Epocware is extremely proud to receive this certificate from Symbian,” said
Jeanne Kolesnik, Business Development Manager of Epocware/Paragon Software Group.
“Timely development of Handy Weather for Symbian OS v9 became possible only due
to Epocware participation in Forum Nokia PRO and Symbian Self Certification programs.
The fact that Handy Weather was the first program that was signed for new Symbian
OS v9 had confirmed once again Epocware status as a trustworthy partner and world’s
leading developer for Symbian OS.”
“Epocware's involvement with Symbian Signed dates back to the start of the program
two years ago” said Bruce Carney, Head of Developer Marketing, ”Their early involvement
and willingness to meet industry best practice certainly has given them a head
start in migrating their applications to Symbian OS v9. It seems entirely appropriate
that they ‘won’ the race to have the first application signed, and fantastic to
see their suite of applications available for Symbian OS v9 phones."
Epocware, Symbian and Nokia cooperation represents an ongoing progress to meet
the wishes of smartphone users. Currently the full product line of Epocware for
S60 3rd Edition based on Symbian OS v9 has been released, including well-known
SlovoEd dictionaries, Handy Zip, Handy Safe, Handy Clock and Handy Expense utilities.
Next Handy Day, Handy Safe and Handy Expense for UIQ3 platform have been recently
released and the rest of the product line is planned to follow in a short time.
