Written by Sony Ericsson
Monday, 10 May 2004

LOS ANGELES --Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications announced today its collaboration with Sorrent, a leading creator and publisher of mobile entertainment, to deliver eleven of Sorrent's best-selling mobile games on Sony Ericsson's most popular handsets.

In response to overwhelming consumer demand for mobile entertainment, North American mobile subscribers can now purchase eleven popular Sorrent games - including the award-winning FOX Sports Boxing - to play on their Sony Ericsson T610/T616 or T630/T637 handsets.

The Sony Ericsson T610/T616 and the T630/T637 offer a bright color screen, providing sharp images for a great gaming experience. The phones also come with 32-tone polyphonic sound, vibrating force feedback and joystick control and they support both Java and Mophun platforms for rich graphics.

"Mobile devices continue to evolve as game platforms. With our new phone features, such as high quality color screens and the easy-to-use joystick, we've seen consumers really seek out new mobile games," said Gregory Graham, US applications product marketing manager for Sony Ericsson North America. "By collaborating with a great game publisher like Sorrent, Sony Ericsson further demonstrates its commitment to building out its extensive library of games available for the handsets."

Single and multiplayer games available from Sorrent on the Sony Ericsson T610/T616 and the T630/T637, include:

-- Yao Ming Basketball '04 Presented by FOX Sports

-- FOX Sports(TM) Boxing

-- FOX Sports Football '04

-- FOX Sports Hockey '04

-- FOX Sports Track & Field '04

-- FOX Sports Soccer '04

-- FOX Sports Racing

-- Shark Hunt(TM)

-- 3D Slam Ping Pong

-- DuraTrax(TM) Mobile RC

-- Wild 8-Ball

"Sony Ericsson is designing phones that appeal to everyone from the casual to the most avid mobile gamers," said Tamara Artim, VP of sales for Sorrent. "These new handsets really showcase our game play - and with the joystick control, we expect to see Sony Ericsson handset customers run up very high scores on the leader board."

The games will be available for purchase from most major North American carriers in Q2 2004.
