Visto Powers Push Email on New Nokia E61 Print E-mail
Written by Visto
Wednesday, 31 May 2006
Visto Corporation, the leading global provider of secure push mobile email, today announced that it is supporting Vodafone's push email services on the new Nokia E61 from the initial availability of the product.

New Integration Capability Simplifies User Experience, Igniting Mass-Market Adoption Among Business Users

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., May 31  -- Visto has partnered with Nokia to offer business users a simplified and integrated push email experience on a device that offers all of the convenience and familiarity of a traditional mobile phone with the sophistication of a powerful "PDA-like" device.

By working closely with Nokia to integrate email, calendaring and contacts with the device, Visto has made it easier for mobile workers to immediately get up and running on push email. With the Vodafone offering, business users will have a one-stop shop that includes a business-class handset, simplified set-up and on-device business applications -- all supported and offered by one of the world's largest mobile operators.

"The Nokia E61 coupled with Vodafone's push email service is an example of what can be achieved when companies join forces to deliver on the promise of a simplified user experience," said Jean Tripier, Visto's executive vice president and chief operating officer. "The combination of true device convergence and an easy-to-use mobile data offering will rapidly become the benchmark for competing providers interested in serving the business market. We will continue to partner with the world's largest mobile operators and leading device manufacturers to bring a true push email experience to the mass business market."

The Nokia E61 with the Visto-powered push email service is initially available from Vodafone in the UK.
