Leading digital music services provider DX3 Technologies Ltd. (DX3) and mobile
content management & delivery experts iO Global Limited (iO Global) today
announce that they will be partnering to bring DX3's unrivalled music catalogue
to iO Global's network partners worldwide.
The DX3 relationship provides iO Global with a vast music offering, which comprises
realtones, full track digital downloads (singles & albums) and full track
video downloads from major record labels such as Universal, Warner, Sony BMG,
EMI and leading independents.
The two companies, both leaders in their fields, are formalising their relationship
after iO Global's successful commercial project on Manx Telecom's 3G network.
By offering packages combining DX3's licensed content with iO Global's content
delivery service the companies will be able to offer Mobile Operators immediate
access to secure revenue from digital music, realtone ringtone and video sales.
"Mobile phone music has now become a practical reality. Consumers are choosing
to buy phones that they can play music on. The challenge many networks face to
exploit this opportunity is securing quality content and enabling it to be consumed
easily, in a way that can be reliably billed," said Andy Baker, CEO of DX3. "iO
Global's content management platform fully automates the packaging, pricing, presentation,
delivery and real-time billing for content, ensuring that mobile operators can
confidently provide their customers with a comprehensive content offering."
"We are very excited about the DX3 relationship. It enables us to offer our clients
a compelling catalogue of music, ring tones and video from the World's top artists,
with the guarantee that the content is of the highest quality and licensed for
distribution to multiple devices (mobile and fixed). No other single partner
could enable us to offer the same breadth and quality of material," commented
Martin Knestrick, Chief Executive of iO Global. "Together with DX3 we are now
able to offer the best music content for consumption through mobile and broadband,
an offer that we believe is revolutionary in the mobile content market."
iO Global will be demonstrating its content management and delivery platform,
with downloads from DX3's catalogue, on iO Global's stand (E96) at the 3GSM World
Congress in Barcelona from 13-16 February 2006.
