A note from Nokia reps this week informs us that the Nokia viNe application will be rolled out of Beta soon... possibly even this week. viNe is a web service that enables users of the application to share their journeys, along with media collected along the way. As a long-time Sports Tracker user, N95 enthusiasts, and evangelist of all things mobile and geospatial, I was provided with a pre-release version of viNe - details and a complete "How To" install and use the application are provided... enjoy! It was back in June 2008 that the E71 was officially released to the public - the selling points for the E71 were a sleek, stylish do-it-all device that came with Mail for Exchange mobile email client - pre-loaded with the Nokia E71. Actually, the device boasted much much more than these attributes as you'll see below in my findings after having the pleasure of making the E71 my main device for 3 weeks... enjoy the recap, the images and the videos!
Nokia Reports 2005 Net Sales of EUR 10.3 Billion and Provides 2006 Industry Outlook
Written by SymbianOne

In addition to providing financials from 2005, Nokia has also provided an industry
outlook and their vision for 2006... of interest from the financials, combined
mobile device volume of Mobile Phones, Multimedia and Enterprise Solutions business
groups for the fourth quarter 2005 was a record 84 million units.
Outlook for 2006 (Source: Nokia)
Nokia expects the mobile device market volume to grow more than 10% in 2006,
from our preliminary estimate of approximately 795 million units in 2005. We also
expect the device industry to experience value growth in 2006, but expect some
decline in industry ASPs, primarily reflecting the increasing impact of the emerging
markets. Nokia expects moderate growth in the mobile infrastructure market in
euro terms in 2006. Nokia's goal is to increase its market share both in mobile
devices and the infrastructure market, in order to build on its industry leading
position.
