Fair Internet ltd is introducing Kryptext, a solution, for sending and receiving
secure SMS text messages.
Kryptext encrypts SMS messages to protect its content from snooping by outside
agencies that can profit from pilfered information.
As more and more incidents of SMS interception are being reported, it is surprising
that telecom and SMS providers are not offering reliable solutions to safeguard
text messages from prying eyes.
Bee Ebéné, MD of Fair Internet believes that: “It is not in the financial interest
of telecom companies to highlight weaknesses within their networks, and this is
why Kryptext is positioned to service those businesses and individuals who feel
very strongly about their right to privacy and want to take security into their
own hands”.
Three types of interception are possible,
· physically checking a mobile phone for suspicious content,
· through operators at telecom companies who may want to leak text messages
to the press,
· and finally through technology used by government agencies.
Kryptext allows users to send and receive confidential messages securely via
SMS. The messages are transmitted and stored in encrypted format. Before using
Kryptext for the first time, the user is verified by various methods like the
unique number code of the mobile phone and password protection.
Kryptext runs on the most popular smart phones with a Symbian 60 operating system,
like the Nokia 6600 or the Sony P900. Kryptext is a mobile-to-mobile solution
that can be ordered at the Kryptext website inexpensively for £6.99.
We live in an intrusive world where personal information is becoming increasingly
difficult to protect. By using Kyptext in your business and private life your
private SMS messages will remain FYEO.
