Forbidden Technologies develops streaming video products and services for mobile devices. According to the company... "Forbidden Technologies was created to combine ten years of technology development with the growing need for video compression."

With the company's FORmobile product, users can easily download and watch videos on Symbian mobile devices. Enter the Video player for Nokia 6600, 3650 and 7650. On the 6600, 3650 and 7650 you can use the WAP browser on your handset to browse to http://www.forbidden.co.uk/symbian6.1/index.wml and download the required player from this WAP page. On the 3650 and the 7650, the easiest way to download the player is to text "Go formobile" to 89080 and follow the instructions texted back

The ambitious user can download the player onto a PC from http://www.forbidden.co.uk/symbian6.1/FBT-Squeezing_Data.sis, and then transfer to your device, either using Nokia PC Suite (see Tip below) or by using My Bluetooth Places on WinXP.

TIP: Installing a new application from your PC to your phone

Make sure that your phone is connected to your PC.
Copy the software installation files to your PC. Only installation files with the extension *.sis, *.jad or *.jar can be installed on your Nokia 3650

From the Tools menu, select Install device software. A dialog box for selecting the installation file appears.

Select the software installation file on your PC and click Open. If you are installing a Java application, select the .jar file. The installation process starts. The required files are copied to the installation path of your phone, and the software is installed on the phone. A progress dialog box for the copying and installation is displayed. If you are installing a Java applications, you will have to complete the installation using your phone
