Telepo and Global IP Sound partner to bring high-quality voice-processing technology to the enterprise market, paving the way for new virtual mobile phone applications

Stockholm, Sweden – October 11, 2005 – Telepo today announced that the company has partnered with Global IP Sound, the leading provider of embedded voice-processing solutions for the Voice over IP (VoIP) market. The new partnership ensures that the same IP voice quality consumers benefit from using Skype, AOL or EarthLink now is available also for companies using Telepo Enterprise Communication Server.

Together with Global IP Sound, Telepo will also showcase its upcoming Virtual Mobile Phone at the Symbian Smartphone Show held in London on October 11-12.

“We are very pleased with this partnership since it adds fundamental components to our enterprise platform,” said Lars-Michaël Paqvalén, CEO and Founder of Telepo. “Now there will be a serious offering to the enterprises that want to fully leverage the capabilities of the VoIP technology and fixed-to-mobile convergence trend, without having to trade off the audio quality for phone calls.”

With the embedded voice-processing technology from Global IP Sound, Telepo is able to bring in VoIP to the enterprises and offer an innovative connection between the mobile phone and the PC, further facilitating business communication, such as call control, SMS, mobile call pick-up and transfer, voice mail, conference calls, etc.

“We have previously announced partnerships with companies such as Skype, AOL and EarthLink, and extending our offering to the enterprise market through Telepo is a natural step to take. In just a few years, Telepo has gained trust from industry leaders such as Nokia, Cisco, IBM and Symbian”, said Gary Hermansen, President and CEO of Global IP Sound.

Telepo Enterprise Communication Server integrates mobile, fixed and new IP-based communication services, works in any network, supports any PBX system and works on any device. It is a complete product addressing all needs of the enterprise from usability (easy to use), cost savings and control, policy enforcement, reporting functions and software distribution and configuration ensuring the product to be deployable on the market today within current enterprise networks. Telepo Enterprise Communication Server consists of applications like mobile least cost routing, mobile extensions, personal call routing, on-line call statistics and reporting, virtual mobile phone, integrated voice recording and contacts synchronization.
