Company Provides Mobile Games and Entertainment For 3 in Austria, Italy, and
Hong Kong
Oslo, Norway—May 18th, 2004—The Mobile Media Company, the personal broadcaster,
(www.MobileMedia.com) today announced the expansion of its relationship with mobile operator ‘3’
with the launch of a portfolio of mobile games and entertainment services for
3’s customers in Austria (www.drei.at).
Already partnered with 3 in Italy (www.tre.it) and Hong Kong (www.three.com.hk), Mobile Media provides 3 a range of mobile entertainment services, including
a dedicated ‘Games Arena’ platform in Italy which remains within the top five
best performing services on the operator’s deck.
Mobile Media is focused on generating high volumes of premium rate mobile transactions
from the global distribution of mobile and interactive content. In the past two
years, Mobile Media has gained tier-one position in mature as well as emerging
mobile markets in Europe, Asia Pacific, and North America.
The company has closely cooperated with 3 in Italy, Hong Kong, and Austria to
create one of the largest collections of 3G-enabled games available, and one of
the most popular services on the 3 portal. 3 is the largest 3G Network operator
in Europe.
“Game Arena is one of the most popular services on our portal, and has been driving
good traffic volumes from the start,” says Tiziano Tonti, Games Marketing Manager
at 3 Italy. “The Service allows us to complete an already broad offering of services
for our 3G customers by adding over 100 games from Mobile Media. The Mobile Media
team has done a fantastic job creating and managing the Game Arena, and they have
now become our preferred provider of games.”
Fabian Seydewitz, Commercial Development Manager, Hutchison 3G Austria GmbH agrees.
“The addition of Mobile Media’s games portfolio to our mobile entertainment offering
is going to be a real subscription driver. The response to the service in Italy
is a great endorsement to the games themselves and how well they have been made
and marketed.”
“The increasing popularity of our games has been very rewarding for us,” says
Jan Tore Klepp, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Entertainment
for The Mobile Media Company. “Since our launch in Italy last May, we have seen
an incredibly strong month-on-month growth, while reaching a substantial portion
of the subscriber base. This proves that our mobile games are reaching the right
people—the mobile gaming community—and, to a great extent, the general mobile
subscriber. The popularity of the service also proves the power of combining compelling
content with innovative marketing, while delivering a great user experience.”
Mobile Media’s managed service approach enables rapid time to market of its products
and services, with operator-friendly business models that require minimal upfront
investment by its distribution partners. The company also provides guaranteed
access to tested quality mobile entertainment from its extensive catalogue. |
