Handset Manager 9.0 Now Adds MP3 Editing and Sharing, Video Composer and Synchronization to 40 New Cellular Handset Models

WALNUT, Calif.-- May 3, 2005--Mobile Action, a global leader in mobile management software, today announced that the company has added 40 new mobile phone models from major manufacturers to its support list for Handset Manager 9.0. Handset Manager 9.0 is the newest version of the company's popular handset-to-PC data sharing solution, which includes new features such as PC synchronization, enhanced support for Bluetooth accessories, and MP3/video support.

Handset Manager 9.0 now supports phone models from major phone manufacturers such as Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, LG, Siemens and Sanyo. Mobile Action's development team has added 30 new phones since introducing Handset Manager 9.0 at the CTIA conference in March, and the company plans to continue to add support for new phone models as quickly as possible. Mobile Action maintains a current list of supported handsets online at http://usa.mobileaction.com. Previous releases of Mobile Action's Handset Manager support more than 500 handset models worldwide, and customers who purchase Handset Manager 8.0 can update their software to version 9.0 at no charge by downloading new drivers and software from Mobile Action's Web site.

"We want users to more easily integrate their wireless technology into their everyday lives, including creating personalized content for their cellular phones," said Fitzwilliam Yang, brand manager for Mobile Action. "That's why Mobile Action is committed to delivering the most user-friendly features to share data between PCs and cell phones for all the leading handset models."

Handset Manager 9.0 includes an MP3 audio clipper and editor, and a video composer that enables users to create and share music and movie files between laptops or PCs and mobile phones. Users also can create, cut and mix their favorite MP3 files and video clips to produce ring tones and short films for multimedia-ready mobile phones.

Mobile Action also has added a better user interface with new controls for features such as picture sharing, MMS sound and animation editing, file transfer, and the synchronization and management of personal contacts and calendars. New enhanced Bluetooth support lets users control their cellular handsets using Bluetooth-enabled hardware, such as a keyboard and mouse. Mobile Action also has added SyncManager, a powerful tool that allows users to establish synchronization settings to enable a one-click connection between cellular phones and PCs.

Handset Manager 9.0 also adds many other multi-media editing functions, including subtitles, narration, music and special effects. For example, the new video composer feature allows users to add and edit text, graphics or animation, select windows, or zoom in and zoom out of images. Users can also record short films with their phones, receive films via MMS or Internet downloads from carriers, and use their PCs to edit and share them.

As with previous product versions, Handset Manager 9.0 connects mobile phones and PCs via USB, infrared or Bluetooth connectors. Handset Manager supports more than 500 GSM, CDMA and even 3G phone models from major phone manufacturers such as Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, LG, Siemens and Sanyo. Handset Manager is available from retail outlets, or on the Web at http://usa.mobileaction.com.
