Cognima Snap™ powered solution effortlessly transfers images and video clips
from camera-phones to the Tango Snap web album
Tango, Luxembourg's leading mobile operator, has announced it has been working
with Cognima, the effortless mobile imaging company, to launch a new camera-phone
service, Tango Snap™. The service, which goes live today, will allow Tango subscribers
to store and share photos and video clips.
Customers can upload photos and video clips taken on camera-phones with a single
key press to the Tango Snap web album where they will be able to store and share
them with friends and family. Users will be charged the normal Tango MMS picture
messaging rates to upload photos and videos to the service.
Cognima's photo upload solution, Cognima Snap™, provides the technology to effortlessly
upload images of any size, and at full resolution, from camera-phones to the Tango
Snap web album with a single key press on the phone. Cognima Snap also powers
the Tango Snap web album itself.
Selected Tango phones will be pre-installed with the Tango Snap service. Other
phones can be connected to the service by downloading the Tango Snap phone software
over the air from the Tango web site.
"We want to make sharing and storing photos and videos from camera-phones an
effortless, single key-press, experience," said Alex Zivoder, CEO of Tango. "Cognima Snap is the key technology that enables the Tango
Snap service to achieve this ease of use. We think that this huge improvement
in user experience over other methods for saving and sharing camera phone images
will drive significant photo messaging volumes."
"We are delighted to announce Tango as our first Cognima Snap Network Operator
customer. Tango's deep understanding of their market and customers has made them
a fantastic partner to develop Cognima Snap with, in one of Europe's most competitive
and advanced markets," said Mark Bole, CEO of Cognima. "Tango Snap will set new
standards in ease of use, and customer adoption, for mobile photo and video sharing."
