Fathammer is Expanding Its Portfolio of High Quality 3D Advanced Mobile Games
and Publishing on Several Platforms
SAN FRANCISCO-- March 9, 2005--Fathammer, a leading developer of advanced mobile
game technologies and award winning high quality games, announced today that it
will launch eight new advanced mobile games on several platforms this spring.
Another eight games will be launched later this year.
"The demand for 3D mobile games has grown substantially and this is where our
experience and expertise is. Having developed technology and games for the very
high end of the market, we have learned how to maximize the performance of the
device to give users the console quality gaming experience," says Matti Airas,
CEO of Fathammer.
"All the games are developed with X-Forge(R), which is our own development system
for advanced mobile games. Thus, the games are audio-visually very rich and are
easily ported to multiple devices and platforms, such as Symbian, Windows Mobile,
BREW and WIPI."
With the exception of Angelfish the launched games are all fully 3D. All games
will be available for multiple platforms. The games are:
-- Stuntcar Extreme(R), a retro-themed racing game, which has received excellent
reviews since its launch in January;
-- Super Drop Mania(TM), an energetic and addictive block puzzle game with 100
levels of fun;
-- Angelfish(TM), a shoot'em up game with beautiful hand-drawn graphics and 18
levels of gameplay;
-- Hockey Rage 2005(TM), the first truly mobile hockey game with Bluetooth head-to-head
multiplayer mode;
-- Stunt Plane(TM), a stunt flying game with 25 levels to master;
-- Fathammer Bowling(TM), a bowling game with smooth 3D graphics and excellent
playability with hot-seat multiplayer up to 4 players;
-- Rainbow Jek(TM), a colorful and appealing cartoon-style character who is trying
to save the world from insect domination using his tongue;
-- Toy Golf(TM), a minigolf game in a home environment with realistic physics
and hot-seat multiplayer mode.
The games were developed internally by three teams at the Fathammer Studio as
well as externally by game developer partners, working very closely with Fathammer
both in Europe and in Asia.
"As gamers get more experienced and devices better, both Asian and Western markets
are looking for high quality advanced mobile games with smooth graphics and realistic
physics, intense and addictive gameplay, inspiring music and other special effects
as well as Bluetooth multiplayer modes. These are among the qualities we try to
implement in all our games, to meet the growing demands of our global audiences,"
says Matti Airas.
