This innovative software allows consumers to watch home movies, feature films
and TV-series on their Nokia phone; New software lets Nokia phones play home movies,
TV and films
At 3GSM in Cannes, Makayama Software announces the availability of Mobile Media
Maker (Nokia). This innovative software allows consumers to watch home movies,
feature films and TV-series on their Nokia phone in great quality, in full screen,
landscape mode.
A memorycard as small as 128 Mb is sufficient to store 100 minutes of home movies
and tv recordings or a full length feature film. Consumers can watch your content
on the go, on any Nokia phone, including the new widescreen Communicators (9300
& 9500) and the 7710 (Nokia’s first touchscreen media device).

The software installs an encoding package on a Windows XP computer, users pick
any video file from their harddrive, CD or DVD and with only three clicks, the
software turns it into a compressed movie file, which will play on a custom developed
MPEG4-mediaplayer on the phone. The headset or the built-in speaker can be used
to listen to the sound. Subtitled and foreign language DVDs are also supported.
Home movies and TV looks crisp and sharp on the phone and still fit on a relatively
small multimedia card.
The software decodes all content (AVI, MPEG1, DivX, XVID, MPEG2, ASF) on all
drives (harddrive, CD, DVD, removable) and encodes it to all Nokia Symbian phones.
The free tryout version allows users to convert 2 minutes of all content.
The retail price is EUR 24.95 (USD 29.95). A free demo version is available.
