Software manufacturer announces online services for business users.
At the 3GSM from February 14-17, 2005, in Cannes, France, ThinPrint will be announcing a new range of mobile online services tailored-made for business users. “With the Content Beamer online services, it will soon be possible to turn every mobile phone into a complete business device,” states Carsten Mickeleit, Managing Director of the software manufacturer specializing in mobile print solutions.
A very small, completely self-configuring client component provides a broad range of business functions for mobile telephones. The main focus is handling mail attachments and other typical office documents. Document can be viewed, printed in original format, and faxed at UMTS speed, along with a number of other planned functions.
ThinPrint is targeting this solution at net providers and mobile phone manufacturers, who can increase the functionality of their services or mobile phones with no effort. Mobile email providers can expand their mail systems to include a complete system for handling attachments. Mobile application developers who want to include print and fax functions in their applications are also an ideal target group.
In Cannes, the first version for the Nokia series 60 will be introduced. Other platforms and expansion stages are planned for the coming year. Once available, the online services can be booked on the web at www.content-beamer.com and, depending on the service package, will start at a monthly charge of 1 euro.
