Strengthens Leadership Position in Mobile Gaming and Interactive Television
SAN FRANCISCO—October 26, 2004— Mobliss, an Index Group Company and leading provider
of mobile media and marketing services, reinforced its position as an industry
innovator through recently announced relationships with premium lifestyle brands,
including Yahoo! Inc., MTV and Seattle-based game company, Cranium, Inc. Mobliss
also expanded its product and service portfolio with the introduction of both
Mobliss Music and LAUNCH, Music on Yahoo! ringtone offerings. Additionally, Mobliss
announced the monthly subscriber base for its popular Family Feud mobile game
now exceeds 125,000 users.
“We started Mobliss with the belief there was unlimited potential in the
mobile industry,” stated Brian Levin, chief executive officer of Mobliss. “It’s
exciting to see mainstream entertainment companies, such as Cranium and MTV, embracing
the possibilities within the wireless space. It’s satisfying for us at Mobliss
and it means big things for the industry as a whole.”
Mobliss’ latest partnership and service expansion details include:
· Interactive MTV: MTV and Mobliss have partnered to bring wireless interactivity
to the popular Real World Road Rules Challenge: Battle of the Sexes 2, enabling
wireless subscribers to name the week’s weakest character via premium text messaging
($0.50 premium SMS transaction). Under the initiative, Verizon Wireless subscribers
participate in the Mobliss-powered text poll to see how their decision stacks
up against other devoted viewers.
· Family Feud Expansion: Already widely available on carriers across
the nation, the Mobliss-published Family Feud game continues to draw a growing
base of monthly wireless subscribers. Boasting a monthly subscriber base of more
than 125,000 users who pay $2.99 a month for unlimited access to the multiplayer
mobile game, Mobliss intends to expand upon its success in the games space by
continuing to launch innovative new multiplayer titles in 2005. Family Feud is
produced by Mobliss in partnership with FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide, the
licensing division of leading international television production company FremantleMedia.
· The Cranium Connection: In partnership with leading board game company
Cranium, Inc., Mobliss will deliver interactive Cranium content to millions of
mobile users. Leveraging multiple mobile channels – including SMS games, mobile
sweepstakes and downloadable games – the partnership will provide diverse entertainment
options to new mobile audiences and loyal Cranium customers alike.
· LAUNCH, Music on Yahoo!: The first step in a multi-phase program, Mobliss
will help LAUNCH provide their new polyphonic ringtone store available exclusively
to AT&T Wireless customers.
· Mobliss Music: For the first time, Mobliss can deliver ringtones directly
to consumers under its own brand. Available initially to customers of AT&T
Wireless, this venture reinforces Mobliss’ technical leadership and knowledge
of the rapidly evolving mobile marketplace and consumer tastes.
